We do our utmost to ensure that products from Nidar are safe to eat. Therefore, we expend considerable resources on supervision and quality control. Here is a summary of some of the steps we take to ensure your safety when you consume sweets from Nidar.
Hygiene
We have strict rules and regulations governing hygiene at our factory. The rules include everything from how the employees and visitors should dress, to the cleaning of machines and how to store raw materials and finished products. There are strict procedures for monitoring the entire production process. This includes bacteriological analyses both of raw materials we purchase and of finished products. If discrepancies are discovered, production is stopped and the consignment is destroyed.
Nidar has a comprehensive internal control system and we cooperate closely with The Norwegian Food Safety Authority and other public authorities. Nidar places strict quality control requirements on sub-contractors.
Allergy
Nidar’s products may contain ingredients and trace substances which may result in allergic reactions for some people. Therefore, we have prepared an Allergy chart which showsany allergenic ingredients and/or possible traces of allergens present in our products.Our products are marked if they can contain almonds or nuts. Additives
Nidar has a very restrictive attitude towards the use of additives. We only use additives which are thoroughly tested. Wherever possible, we use natural additives.
GMO
Nidar requires that our sub-contractors do not use gene modified organisms (GMO) in their products.
Nutritional declaration
We are in the process of introducing nutritional declarations on the wrappings of all our products, which give detailed information as to the content.
